Macrophage Inflammatory Protein-1 (MIP-1,alpha) is part of the CC subfamily of the chemokine superfamily of chemoattractant cytokines. MIP-1& alpha affects the inflammatory response of blood monocytes, tissue macrophages, and T cells.
